The Volkswagen ID.4 is a mighty important vehicle from one of the world’s biggest manufacturers. Designed to take on the likes of the Tesla Model Y, the ID.4 first hit the European market back in 2021 but has taken a long time to make its way to Australian shores. Buyers looking for even more speed have the option of the ID.4 GTX, which receives an additional electric motor and produces a combined 250kW of power and 679Nm of torque, allowing it to sprint to 100km/h in just 5.4 seconds. Inside the cabin, things are familiar, with a futuristic twist, with excellent rear accommodation and a large 543L boot that expands to 1,575L with the rear seats folded, making it a very family-friendly proposition.
