It’s a sharp, futuristic midsize SUV package from a company well-known for its refined and spacious vehicles, with no shortage of legroom in the second row and a large 510L boot that bolsters its family appeal. BMW offers the iX3 range with an electric motor at the rear axle pushing out 210kW of power and 400Nm of torque, allowing it to sprint to 100km/h in 6.8 seconds. Driving range figures stand at 460km per charge from the iX3’s 80kWh battery pack while 150kW DC fast-charging allows you to bring the battery from 10 - 80 per cent in 32 minutes.
