The LDV Terron 9 is a new entrant to the Australian market, sitting above the existing LDV T60 in the stables as the company’s largest, most practical and most accomplished workhorse you can buy. The Terron 9 is longer, wider and taller than its main dual-cab ute rivals, meaning its stretched-out wheelbase is a far more practical option for family buyers, while the company’s generous approach to features means there’s no shortage of tech and even a locking rear differential in the base model. Inside, the Terron 9’s cabin makes excellent use of space in the front of the cabin, thanks to a floating centre console design, while the rear offers a substantial upgrade over a regular dual-cab rival. The Terron 9 comes powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel unit that kicks out 163kW of power and 520Nm of torque to all four wheel, which translates to 3,500kg worth of braked towing capacity and payload figures between 1,005 and 1,100kg, depending on the variant.
