Vehicle overview
Mahindra is an automotive giant from India that is hoping its XUV700 will capitalise on the popularity of seven-seat SUVs here in Australia. On the value front, there’s nothing that puts the XUV700 to shame thanks to its lengthy equipment lists, long warranty coverage and extremely family-friendly cabin that makes light work of large families. Power for the XUV700 range comes supplied by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol unit that throws 149kW of power and 380Nm of torque to the front wheels via a six-speed Aisin transmission while consuming 8.3L/100km on the combined cycle. Standard equipment in the entry-level XUV700 ASX includes 18-inch alloys, LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof and two 10.25-inch displays, while the range-topping AX7L picks up an upgraded 12-speaker sound system, a wireless smartphone charger and smart door handles.
