Vehicle overview
The Skoda Superb is a bit of a forgotten gem of the premium, European segment that has some serious tricks up its sleeve when it comes to long-term ownership. While SUVs might dominate outright sales, Skoda isn’t ready to give up on the large sedan and wagon segment, with the latest Superb impressing across the board when it comes to driving engagement, space inside the cabin and the confidence of the company’s long warranty coverage. Both the Superb sedan and wagon come powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that pushes out a very healthy 195kW of power and 400Nm of torque paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and surefooted nature of an all-wheel drive system. Inside, there’s tonnes of space front and rear, with the cabin picking up some premium touches like leather upholstery with heated, ventilated and massaging front seats and a large boot measuring 589L in the sedan, expanding up to 643L in the case of the Superb wagon. To round things out, the Skoda Superb is one of the only European vehicles to be offered with a seven-year/unlimited kilometre warranty, making it particularly hard to ignore.
