Vehicle overview
Toyota’s latest-generation LandCruiser Prado 250 Series has the unenviable job of meeting sky-high expectations from off-road enthusiasts and Australian family buyers alike. Carrying on the iconic Prado name is no small feat, though the 250 Series certainly hits the ground running with its sharp new styling package, larger body thanks to the GA-F platform shared with the 300 Series and an updated mild-hybrid beating heart that keeps torque figures at a healthy 500Nm. Notably, fuel economy figures now stand at 7.6L/100km, with braked towing capacities increasing to 3,500kg and payload figures sitting between 580 - 615kg, depending on the variant. Inside, the Prado’s cabin has received a major overhaul that brings it well into the 21st century, with the option of both five- and seven-seat layouts split across five variants, all of which pick up a 12.3-inch infotainment system and stacks of new active safety technology.
