The G6 is XPeng’s midsize electric SUV designed to take on some of the biggest names in the world of electrified motoring. While XPeng is relatively new to the Australian market, the company is actually one of China’s fastest-growing vehicle and technology companies, with the G6 aiming to give it a solid footing in one of the market’s most popular segments. Xpeng offers the G6 in two formats - Standard and Long Range variants that both come well-equipped with 20-inch alloys, a range of clever active safety tech and a massive 14.96-inch infotainment display that headlines the clean, minimalist interior. Standard range versions of the G6 pick up a 66kWh LFP battery that feeds power to a single electric motor that consumes a claimed 17.5kWh per 100km, giving it a maximum range figure of 435km per charge. Buyers looking for some extra range pick up a larger 87.5kWh LFP battery pack and a more powerful electric motor that offers up to 570km of range per charge.
