How Many Australians are Buying an Electric Car?

According to the latest data published by both the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) and the Electric Vehicle Council, sales of electric vehicles in the first quarter of 2025 totalled 17,937.

In March, 2025, sales of fully electric vehicles amounted to 8,385 units for the month, equating to a 7.5 per cent share of the overall fuel mix.
